You will Leave

You will Leave

A Poem by Nico

Oh, no! Here is that moment
I feared for a long time, you know
I already know
what it is you are going to tell me,
that it's the end of us.

I know that with him
you feel more free
to accept his love;
to count on him more

What a shock to me,
I who gave you everything inside of me
As you go you are taking my heart with you

One love forever
lasts only an instant
There are so many memories
that vanish with you
Only that dream remains,
the story of lovers,
but in the end you will leave me.

This city that I think of myself as being
is deserted of tears
I feel my heart drowning inside of me
while you are with him.

They say that you don't die from love;
You don't loose anything;
But now I feel that fire dying within me

I also know I should be happy for you
But I lie, because
I wish you to stay here with me

But, in the end
you will leave
you will leave, leave in pain
you will leave
and be far from me.

I liked the realism words that painted such a emotional releasing of openness to bear witness to. I think you captured the essences of a pure emotion and displayed it so effectively. I really liked this piece. I always love to be left feeling something at the end of a read.

Great Job!!!!!

Damn. You know, a lot of your poetry really relates to me. I know what this is like to.
Very sad poem. The content makes me want to punch a wall cause I reminisce of a girl that screwed me over like that, but I got over her and I'm with someone who truly does make me happy. I hope you find a new person who really doesn't hurt you and whom really loves you. Don't give up!

Stay up, Nico.

As you go you are taking my heart with you

My heart can't help but break for you. It is very difficult to be rejected. Your expression was heart felt and to the point. Very well written. Commitment is something many aren't willing to do these days, and it is sad.

Again this is direct and there is no mistaking the power of the feeling......the line I like best is 'But I lie...' As with the angel poem...two sides to every feeling! The poem is very honest in how it captures the stormy feelings caused by love withdrawn.
