Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

A Story by Nickee Carlson
"

Something I thought of, it's not a new plot, but it seems pretty interesting to me, I left a lot for your mind to wander.

"

She lays quietly in her room, thinking of how every good thing has a bad side. She tries to think this whole thing out, but she can't. So instead she decides to replay the day’s events in her mind.

"Oh how much I love you is just unspeakable!" Her true love Daniil said to her. "If only our love was aloud, if my parents find out, which I'm afraid they are catching on, you will be dead, I will lose everything. Everything baby is you." She replied, the fear seeping through her lips as she spoke them.

"I won’t let that happen to you, or us, I'll protect you." He said, as confidently as he could.

But then something broke the silence, it was a car door slamming, it was unusual because they were laying in the woods. And Cassidy knew that it could only be two people, her parents.

As she sat up from where Daniil and her were laying, and she could hear her mother, ranting on about how angry she was. Then they came into the small clearing where they stopped.

"Damn you Cassidy, get your a*s up you are going home!" Her father yelled as pointed towards where they were parked. "How could you betray, disgrace our family like this?!"

"Disgrace? What do you mean disgrace? Is it that wrong for your daughter to be in love?" Daniil shot up from his spot on the ground and took a new one in front of Cassidy. Cassidy's dad grabbed him and through him on the ground, then Cassidy stepped in front.

"How can you do that to him, dad I love him! Leave him alone, father please do not hurt him!" She screamed as her dad walked over to where Daniil was trying to rebalance himself. Then unexpectedly, he punched Daniil in the face, while Cassidy's mom furiously grabbed her and began to drag her away.

"Cassidy, how improper, how disgraceful, how ugh disgusting! This boy is a filthy rat, who comes from the scum of our town. He's... He's... A Mormon, you should know better then to try to be with a lying cheating Mormon, you’re catholic and should be with a strong, faithful, catholic man! I can't believe you would want this ugh nasty being!" Her mother ranted, and she kept speaking but Cassidy stopped listening, and slightly turned her head back and caught a glimpse of her father beating on Daniil who laid on the ground.

She began to cry, tears pouring out of her eyes like water flowing down a cliff. Her heart was aching, she didn't mean to hurt her family, but Daniil was so perfect, she was already missing his big green eyes, and lightly tanned skin, and his golden blonde hair. She was already missing how his kisses were sweet yet electrifying every time, and how he would hold her to his chest because he knew she liked to listen to his heart beat.

She felt like the world was ending. She was forced to sit in the car and await the return of her father, and then the real discussion would begin. While she sat in the back, she listened to her mother go on and on and on, and she couldn't help to think that her parents were the cruelest beings she had ever met, and was comparing them to Hitler, it all seemed to closely related. After about twenty minutes her and her mother reasoned that something had to be wrong, her dad should have been back by then. Her mother was anxious, and started ranting again.

"Do you see what has happened, your dad has to take care of this Mormon to protect you. He has to take away from his precious time; do you see what you are doing to our family? We must never speak of this again, and you must go to the confessionals at once, and repent for you sins! You little brat what are you glaring about?" Her mother barked at her, while Cassidy's face had turned into the darkest glare anyone has ever laid eyes upon. "How can you be so close minded? Hm, you think you are a holy Catholic when God says to love everyone even those who are your enemies, yet you treat Daniil as if he doesn't belong in this world. Well maybe I dropped that stupid religion a long time ago when I realized how freaking ridiculous it was, God would not have created a world if everything you did was a sin. So just shut up you crazy Hitler impersonator, go back to hell where you belong!!" She screamed still holding her death glared, as she stared at her mom whose jaw was hanging lower than a cliff.

Minutes later her mom hopped out of the car, opened the back seat and pulled Cassidy out and slapped her a few times. Cassidy was done, so she slapped her back. Her mother was shocked, she was speechless, and all she could do was stare in disbelief at her daughter.

"I'm a stranger to you, I always have been. Everyday I just put on a mask so you can pretend we have a happy life, but face it you don't know me. You don't even know yourself; you are an imposter of the real mother of mine. So leave, or let me leave, let me be free to be myself, if not with you then with, well with what was Daniil. Dad probably killed him, because of your guys' stupid beliefs!" Cassidy screamed.

"I don't believe you are my daughter you w***e! I could never love you, you little brat. Go, get the hell out of here, and let god have mercy on you poor pathetic should!" Her mother replied.

Cassidy started crying harder than ever, and then she ran into the woods in the direction of where her father and Daniil were. She just had to say her last goodbyes or at least pay some respect to his soulless body that she was expecting to find. But as she ran, tears blocking her sight, she ran into something, someone. She screamed thinking it was her dad, a fear pierced her body like a flame from a wild fire.

"Baby! Baby! Baby! Calm down its okay, everything is gona be okay. I promise, lets walk this way, you don't need to see what's over there." Daniil said trying to calm Cassidy down.

"Baby! I missed you! I thought my dad was gona kill you, wait where’s he?"

"Lets not talk about that honey that is something that doesn't need to be brought up. It isn't something I'm proud of but I did it to protect you, you and your future."

"Oh Daniil, I love you so much, but... But... I just don't know, I don't think that I can even think now, just stop."

Now she had to think, carefully, she knew what he did, and it ached, pulled and tugged at her stomach. But she also was madly in love with him and she could see how hurt he was and the deep care and love he had for her. But was would that be what she wanted to live with knowing the rest of her life? That the man she was with was a murder, that he had killed the man who created her. She was so lost, thoughts whirling inside her head, suddenly she collapsed, and everything became a blur.

Many months later on a warm summer day, she sat staring at the sunset, wondering if she made the right decision, but that thought swept away when she heard the music. She got up and slowly started walking, she looked down the isle and thought that she had to of made the right decision because Daniil looked so perfect dressed up in a tux, now all eyes were on her, she was the soon to be Mrs. Daniil Carver. Her wedding day couldn't have been more perfect, and the memories of her past faded, never will she think about what happened and only fixed her mind on what was going on.
