Un-named

Un-named

A Poem by Nickee Carlson

I long for something more than I have, something I see, I see it in a distant memory. It towers over me like a shadow of pain, beating down like the pouring rain.
I see something farther than love, something I lost, something that only left my hear more tossed. I fear I knew it once was there, but someone took it with my hear to spare.
Tonight I wish I could hear the rain, lay in the silence, and leave the pain. I'm loosing my thoughts on everything, loosing the peace inside of me.
If someone could come and take the fear, take the pain, and leave me here.
