Who would care?

Who would care?

A Poem by Nickee Carlson
"

I was depressed.

"

If I were to die today,
Do you think my pain would fade away?
Or would it stay here lingering in the air,
Waiting for someone or something to care.
I think not of the pain of others,
But the pain I feel, the pain that smothers.
I'm hurt inside and nobody cares,
But with the cuts on my wrist everyone's scared.
Physical pain makes up for the help I need,
I'm like a group of dancers with no one to lead.
I'm alone in this world don't you see,
All the pain I've inflicted on me.

Reminds me very much of my early teenage years. There is nothing worse then feeling alone in the world thinking that no one cares. The only good thing about it is that you are able to write amazing poems such as this one. It's full of emotion and you pull the reader into your world. Great job.
