Nick's poem about the night at the Ranger Scouts

the pain from this fall,
i just lost it all.
all i could see was the darkness around me,
the light i once saw was just a visionary.
they broke me down,
i fell apart,
they did it right,
they broke my heart.
i tried to fix my act,
the happiness i once had,
but once i looked in the mirror again,
everything just looked sad.
my reflection just deepened,
it was too much to just seep in.
that night i couldn't sleep,
felt as though i was buried under the concreate.
i just stared at the ceiling,
hoping it would destroy this blank feeling.
i lost my dream,
my only light,
now the stars don't shine as bright.
i don't belong,
i never will,
that's why when i stand by the wall,
i stand still.
we are divided,
predator and prey.
i want it to change,
but here it will stay.
a low life,
a threat,
my happiness is just my debt.
i am mean,
i am down,
behind my smirk is a frown.
no one knows,
no one cares,
they all just glare,
very stern stares.
my feelings,
they can hide,
since no one cares how i feel on the inside.
i can't stand the pain,
which is why i fall,
because when i was innocent,

i thought i had it all
