The grass is green,
but I am rotting away,
day by day,
using a .45 will surely end this delay,
but "the grass is so very green"
I need to see it, until the end of my fear.
Drinking and betting can substitute a .45?
I don't know for sure,
but really can make you say
"the grass is so very green today".
Oh wow, this is so emotional but beautiful. I liked this, thanks for sharing. Don't get your hopes down, everything will turn out to be fine in the end, believe my friend, believe!
Drinking and gambling....two addictions that can surely lead to an early demise as much as a .45 can albeit more slowly. We need to see that green grass and realize there is lots to live for....lots to experience before giving up. I liked this. Lydi**
What I liked about this one was the honesty. I think you have shined a light on something that many of us have felt in times of despair. It is always better to remember that even in the darkest of nights, the sun will eventually shine. Technically, perhaps this one could be cleaned up a little bit -- the flow was a bit choppy in the end, but I did enjoy the concept and the honesty, which created an emotional impact. Pen on.
The place where time stands still, where whisky flows and always will. Where's that place you will ask, God said "Out on Highway 61"
