As I claw the dirt from my mouth

As I claw the dirt from my mouth

A Poem by Astro
"

Creativity lays neglected, a fossil of what once was, buried, forgotten and lame.

"
Creativity lays neglected, a fossil of what once was,
buried, forgotten and lame.
A caress... warm sunlight plies my resurrection,
Uncovered, exposed by the winds of change.
Migrations, transformations, pandemics by design,
Pandemics of Greed, of wealth stolen, health stolen
Sounds of war, cries of vengeance, lies chanted
but
Truth a mere whisper, muffled and muzzled.
I lay gasping, hands frantically grasping, at layer upon layer of dirt
Dust fills the void that is my mouth, fingers probe deep
Mining for gold in the recesses of my throat, argent sighs
echoing through pulmonary tunnels...
A voice
Mythological, Metaphorical and Metaphysical
like finding an ancient recording in a cave.
haunting incantations rising up, rising hairs,
calling forth the dead with grit spit teeth
split in two by my waking tongue...I am once more.
