Cold Blanket

Cold Blanket

A Poem by Astro
"

Just dusting off the old chops. Nature poems come easily as the brevity I chose to offer should be on my readers. Enjoy.

"
There it was, slipping into every corridor.
The trees shivering naked, nonetheless...
Concrete and mortar, harder and colder
beneath the blanket as it spread creepily.

Faces tuck, while collars raise in protest.
All motion framed in frosted breathing...
You knew it was coming with certainty
yet somehow never quite prepared for it.

...that familiar decent into Winter.
