The brink of discussion
And a laid back debate Like nothing really matters Or determines our fate Politicians move slowly And dwindle on laws And swim in "revenue" with hand-shaped paws They appear fierce But move ever so gently We become distracted And our pockets become empty Our eyes become jaded And our reasoning one-sided They pull wool over our eyes And our country becomes divided Twisting up amendments And we become inactive They change and bend laws And our rights get retracted
