Waiting Around for the Dead

Waiting Around for the Dead

A Poem by Nichole Juliet Hemstock
"

Ahh, another shortie, but a goodie.

"
Upset to a point that you can no longer explain,
Hold on, Keep strong, and bite through the pain.
Keep your head high, your heart on your sleeve,
But know, when your heart is given to him, it goes when he leaves.

Write out your soul in a scented love letter,
But before he's done reading it, he's found something better.
You cry and you weep and you rot inside,
He's ripped away from you, leaving wishes to die.

The flowers  and surroundings hardly seem real.
You wait around for another love you'll never feel.
