Instant Euphoria

Instant Euphoria

A Poem by Nichole Ary
"

Instant Euphoria is about the moments in our lives when we experience complete and utter happiness and joy. Enjoy!

"
Instant Euphoria hit me like a train.
There was no more time for my tears in the rain.
No more time for feeling alone or unwanted.
No more time for being abandoned or haunted.
I threw my cap up in the air
and watched it fall back into my chair.
That day was as good as it gets I thought
until he gave me that wedding ring he bought.
The crowd cheered with love,
as my heart floated away like the dove.
I thought I'd never love more deeply
until our baby was born so sweetly.
Instant Euphoria hit so hard,
I began to cry like in a graveyard.
But soon the Instant Euphoria caved.
It caved as I sat in the kitchen and slaved.
It caved when my baby came and left home.
It caved when my lover was diagnosed with the syndrome.
It caved when my classmates had all moved on.
It caved like a newly walking fawn.
Depression came and went,
like the Instant Euphoria that was heaven sent.
But God made those moments for special occasions,
otherwise, they'd soon bore like awful math equations.
Cherish your Instant Euphoria,
and one day they'll amount to a huge emporia.

I agree with your words and thoughts.
"Cherish your Instant Euphoria,
and one day they'll amount to a huge emporia."
We must enjoy the good things. The above lines are true. Memories become our wealth in old age. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Gee
Hopefully more of the euphoric ups than the depressing downs during our lives. Well done
