Mystries of Me

Mystries of Me

A Poem by RyukoRose

I am not a diamonds and gold woman

I want to feel liked, even loved

I want to be told that I am beautiful

-- Even with rollers in my hair

--Green stuff on my face

I want to be seen as an individual

Not past loves, your mother, or even my mother

I am my own person

I have my own thoughts and beliefs

I may not always agree with your ideas

Knowing that you may not always agree with mine

Sometimes though to keep peace

I will surrender to you

Wanting you to feel respected

I do not want to be controled

I do not want to control others

I want to feel like a person

Not belittled or told that I am evil

I would like the partnership of two people

So that in time these two people...

Become one

This is the mystery of me.

I think this poem speaks to nearly everybodies desires, so don't worry, you're not alone. I like this poem the most because it's honest, real emotion, real life, something I can relate to (at least in some parts, I never put rollers in my hair, or green stuff on my face). Good Job.
