Never Thought

I never thought you would come back into my life

Twisting and re organizing my goals and priorities to fit you

I’m trying to resist but failing horribly

 

Dizziness

As I spin on the puppet strings

That you’ve regained from me

 

No longer in control

The small tear now

Bigger and bigger yet still

 

I reach out

To grasp your hands

But you change your mind

 

At the last possible moment

Deception, betrayal, hurt

Dropping, screaming

 

Feeling stupid and confused

Why did you come back ?

Yet, I land on my feet
