Unrequited love full of pain. This was my first poem.
Addiction.
Her eyes.
Her smile.
Her touch.
The way her hand brushes my cheek to wipe away my tears.
Knowing I can never touch her just breaks my heart.
How can life be so cruel?
To tease me!
With the one person that truly makes my knees weak.
It's wrong, I know.
To feel like this.
Or is it?
But somehow she makes it feel alright.
So it can’t be wrong.
Can it?
That gentle stroking of my hair to comfort me when I'm upset.
That reassuring nudge when I doubt myself.
That wicked, teasing grin when I am taking things way too seriously.
Just some of the little things that feed my addiction.
Like the smoker’s first puff of a smoke. she just has to smile at me & all my problems just float away, Just like the mist on a cold winter's morning when the first glimmer of sunshine pokes through the clouds.
I echo Siya: "First Poem?!"
It's hard to believe that this is your first, considering how good it is!
I love it!
The last bit could stand to have breaks in different places, it might help the flow.
"She just has to smile at me and
all my problems just float away"
Other than a few very small places, it's great!
Keep writing!
First poem?! Wow! Well, honestly, I loved it. It made me remember the twilight plot, lol.
It was a wise comparison with the smoking, it fits.
Very well written, keep writing. I'm sure you're going to come up with even better works!! :D
