Lost in Somewhere Out There

Lost in Somewhere Out There

A Poem by Ngirai

'
I walk down this road, doubts and darkness lingering,
Why am I alone, my heart and thoughts both withering?
I wish we could make right the wrongs of our past,
But history remains, a shadow cast.

The future is unknown, yet we can create it,
I walk in purgatory, where angels and demons fit.
Trapped in hell, my cold soul wandering,
My body restless, my spirit pondering.

The journey ends, something's wrong,
Children cry out in streets, echoes prolong.
A world falling apart, dead and quiet,
Dark and hollow streets, my tears can't fight.

Nothing but empty spaces, loneliness surrounds,
I thought I was loved, but my life is shattered on the ground.
I don't belong here, lost in this place,
Remind me who I am, before I'm erased.

A town full of empty promises, no life around,
My future's blurry, with no way to leave this ground.
Maybe I'll die here, peaceful and still,
Silent Hill, my home, my life's will.

Tonight, my cries go unheard,
But someday, you'll know about my life, my every word.

Nicely captured sadness and loneliness. To be where we feel we don't belong is an empty feeling for sure.
