Year 2020

Year 2020

A Poem by Ngawang Tibet

Greeting thee like baby,
From the corner of nature’s lobby,
Days slipped into months,
Months slipped into years, by depths;
Who really counted the number,
As a notorious gambler?

Every year tells a story,
If that hath been a glory,
Some years struck by sorrow,
Which could be a burden of morrow,
By then, ye mighty god of love,
Embrace me with thy roof of above.

The moon, the sun, the stars have risen,
A new beginning begins with a horizon,
An end to the old-fashioned behavior,
Changes come, hustle like juvenile,
No more promise, stick to the truth,
Never say die, simply live with a good faith.
