Her Fear

Her Fear

A Poem by Neytri
"

Evryone does mistakes in life, even I did one. But I never got a chance to rectify it...

"
Once, when I gazed into the mirror,
I saw her eyes, eyes full of fear.
She was only fifteen,
But her life, hopelessly ruined.

A fear of the world she lived in
A fear of the people she was around
Doesn't she even stand a single chance?
To suffer was she really bound?

She knew she did a mistake,
But also she did repent;
But the selfish world around her didn't
Let her forget what had happened.

Will she ever be able to move on?
Live a life happier and beyond?
Will she ever get that one chance
For which she forever longed?

Hello, Dear Neytri 🌾

I never forgot your review of my poem "Softly In My Dreams" https://www.writerscafe.org/writing/RichardJ/1673658/?&p=7
And, it was this remembrance that brought me here (by sheer chance) to find and reflect upon the honesty of this deeply felt, soul-gripping tale of unresolved regret from an unfortunate deed or mistake made in the innocent days of your youth.
Despite the manner in which your words so lucidly and earnestly speak to me in sharing how something you'd done likely went against one of your culture's rigid taboos, I'm left to wonder what it could have been to so profoundly affect your mind and life throughout the years … you know what they say, "Forgiveness isn't approving what happened. It's choosing to rise above it." - Robin Sharma

Such a wonderful poem, Neytri, of sincere retribution and hope.
You're a most wonderful artist and person.
Thank you ever-so warmly for sharing You ⁓ Richard🖌

I really like how you opened up, these lines touched me even,
this is really good, you express yourself really well

Life teaches us many lessons.
"Will she ever be able to move on?
Live a life happier and beyond?
Will she ever get that one chance
For which she forever longed?"
One lesson is. We must move on. Learn from the past mistakes and live like you are a wild and free bird. I enjoyed the poem. made me think. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I'm glad you could relate to it.
NEYTRI,

That is why it is told nowadays that only woman writers can touch the crux of the situation when it comes to the subject of struggles of the "silent class" whether it is TG/children/poor/outcasts/oppressed/abandoned/ DE etc . The oppression was so huge during the entire past where men dictated terms. Actually I was of the opinion and under the impression that it should not have been like that. That is only a WISH. The reality was different.
All great writers of the past Bhasan, Kalidasan,Shakespeare, Goethe, Dante,Destyovisky...... fell far behind when confronted with a single touch of that painful utterance so familiar and so intense even without any craft or stuff sometimes.
It means certain poetic revelations are so divine and worldly impressions have got very less to review on them.

The apprehensions, fears, unknown anxieties rule in her realm. It was there always and continue to be so .
Whether any change will appear?
Hope....... relentless strife.........without any assistance.
suffering is not a new issue, but mistakes should be single sided.. What is mistake after all?
Who is the map reader?
SHE should dictate terms for hers and never expect anybody's grace as "CHANCE".
Often I feel ashamed of being a member of that so called oppression class
But , no help............

Really a striking note.
Feminist writings are generally no read and do not catch my attention as I feel they are partial only and have an invalidation by birth. But sometimes it will and only it will spreads the wings which men writers do not even know.

We need such darts

carry on...............

Thank you so much for stopping by and reviewing. I solely appreciate.
A heartfelt vulnerability in this poem reflects how fragile human beings are, and yet strength comes to move on.

Thank you so much for your precious time.
We all have our share of dark days. You're not the only one. The real struggle us to rise up from the ashes. There is misery in this whole world but there is also a ray of hope for every being. You just have to grasp it. :)

Living in fear is a lonely road to mortality. Fear can place one's soul in shackles too complicated to crack. Acceptance of one's fate can eliminate this conscience riddled with such blinding fear. Nicely written. I am accepting your friend request but wanted to review one of your writes first. take care...dan
