This Dream is Ending...

This Dream is Ending...

A Poem by Jacob Baca

My new dream is ending!
Has it not only begun?
Has this washed cloth,
began to dry now that it's hung?
And what makes of these old feelings?
Had we not just introduced?
Irritant nausea from these actions,
I'd only just learned to do?
Is it cause of these hoary thoughts?
Or maybe these new feelings?
Different now, as were, back then,
much like floor from ceiling.
Suppose we're switched around,
why do my bearings fail?
Is it the effects that I'm intaking?
How cold a rat without it's tail.
How must I cease this process?
Is there no cure for age?
Ah, I see, now, my heart's pillars are bending.
No wonder this dream is ending.
