All Alone

All Alone

A Poem by Daniel Whitaker

Racked with guilt,
I shudder with pain.
I feel the icy wind,
Chilling my back.
I cry tears of glass,
But I'm alone.
The forest of my heart,
It moans brokenness.
You stand there,
A torch in your hand.
You burn down the forest,
You left me for dead.
Here I am...
