My Worst Fear.

My Worst Fear.

A Story by Daniel Whitaker

I see my kids,
I hear laughter.
The laughter stops,
A gun shot goes off.
The birds scatter,
I run to the kids.
I see a van driving off,
I hear my daughter's voice.
Screaming,
"Daddy save me, Daddy help Ashton."
I try to run to her,
The man drives off with my daughter.
I run after it,
I'm not as fit as I used to be.
I ran back to the house,
Crying I grab the phone.
At that second I hear a cough,
no wait, two coughs.
I find my son,
Laying on the ground.
A hole in his chest,
I grab him.
"Dad?" cough*
I now hold a lifeless body.
I lost both of my children.,
I cry and cry.
My alarm goes off. Just another nightmare.

I'm not like most kids my age. I want to have kids, I fear for their safety even though they aren't alive. Don't judge please.
