Damaged

Damaged

A Poem by Daniel Whitaker

Thrown, broken, torn, and cut,
This is the world we live in today.
Being kicked on the side,
Left for someone else to pick up.
I stand and fight,
But the anger and pain is to much.
I run, faster and faster,
The darkness swarms around me.
Can I get through this,
Can I be rid of this rage?
I lay here torn and broken,
I cast out my rage and sadness.
I am but a hollow shell,
Will this be over?
Will you save me?

I know someone who will save you - who can save you DW.
Go to the nearest mirror and look at them now!
That is the person who will save you. Friends and family can carry your body to the mirror but only YOU can look and SEE.
