DamagedA Poem by Daniel Whitaker
Thrown, broken, torn, and cut,
This is the world we live in today. Being kicked on the side, Left for someone else to pick up. I stand and fight, But the anger and pain is to much. I run, faster and faster, The darkness swarms around me. Can I get through this, Can I be rid of this rage? I lay here torn and broken, I cast out my rage and sadness. I am but a hollow shell, Will this be over? Will you save me?
