rain

i wrote this about a love, that ran into an inevitable end and how somone would feel afterwords.

Rain -

the cold drops that wash over me

and erase the painful memories

of us

together.

but we were seperated by the gray clods that covered us,

seperated by the gray clouds filled with the fat raindrops that sealed our end,

seperated by the hurricane that was let loose upon us.

Tears fall from my eyes now

just like

the rain.

screams escape my mouth

just like booming thunder during the storm.

Anger and pain rage inside of me

like the howling wind and crashing lightning.

I am destroyed.

I am unraveled.

And i am broken.

I have become the rain.

I have become the bearer of bad news and sadness,

but also a feeling of inner peice to some...

Will I ever find peace?

Will this battle inside of me ever be won?

Will the never ending downpour that i have become ever stop?

................

who knows?

not me.

after all,

i am just

Rain.

This is a really powerful piece; full of imagery and very emotive. I love the feeling that this line "the never ending downpour that I have become" evokes. Lovely. :)
