Supernovacaine

A Poem by Devin
"

I've recently had some pretty big breakdowns, and have decided to use this as my outlet to let things out. There's a general theme to everything: Don't hold things in. Let it all out to someone.

"
Sit down in your own chair
Look around your old house
Watch the broken down TV
Smile at your lovely spouse

Paint the walls yellow in denial
"The cough is normal for me"
"I always find the good in situations"
"I've already been set free"

The cough is a sickness
Bad always comes with the good
You've fallen into a cage
made of the strongest oak wood

You hold the key to let yourself out
Out of the cage you've constructed
Just take the hands offered
They'll help undo the charade conducted

You are loved
You can trust
Do it for you
and not for us

I am the backwards approach to love. I am the dirty Bohemia of poets. I may lack the talent of the master writers, but I write what I feel I cannot say. Just as I say what I feel I cannot write. My.. more..
