this is a very interesting narrative that raises a lot of questions. indeed, we know very little about why we do all the things we do, but there are always psychological and symbolic processes behind our actions. this late poet's work belonged in a place of worship. or at least the persona thought so. the rhythms of every line was also very fluid and made for ease of reading -- transporting us inside the mind of the narrator. a very well written and intriguing work.

Sometimes being dishonest with yourself, fooling yourself, is the best thing you can do to yourself. I don't know if it applies in this case. I guess it just seemed right at the time.

You may not remember it now, but there was a reason. I don't know if that reason justifies what you did, but at the time, you did the best you knew.
Sometimes we do things because we feel they're in the wrong place and need be where they should
Rather like thoughts and feelings laid in a dusty place in the past but.. moved instead into a bigger and worthier light.
They/it could be laid in the All About, shared by passers by - any and all. Bless you for sharing, Neville.

How many times do we do something that leaves us with only "because it felt right at the time" as an explanation?
Maybe it's easier than to think that it was where you felt it was meant to be and it was only the beginning of the journey that would eventually find a home for the poets words.
No rhyme, no reason. Just a compulsion that led you to where it led you, a bit like the compulsion that I now have to end here, with words I am going to sing out at everyone I pass today.... 🎶 five go-old rings! 🎶

Dear Neville,,, sometime we have to leave things on a Pew, although we shared moments of Harmony... I still believe in the Holy Spirit; however, I believe in Nature also... the Birds and Deer that are free to Fly and Roam. softly, Pat
