Now ain't that the truth for many:)...great lines by the way.
Having survived an accident I had no right to I have lived a fairly care free life since the late 80's carrying no unwanted baggage instead trying to enjoy, as best I can, each and every day.

this work was unexpectedly full of pathos. there is underlying these teachings the need for coming together, all the while knowing the impossiblity of such a vision.
We need far fewer walls
building these days ..
But many more bridges ..
a great stanza that is a cri de coeur. yet 'foibles, follies and friction' keep dampening any attempt at reconciliation and harmony. this work was written by someone with cracked optimism and a sharp eye.

i think it depends on the reader. the most popular poets (as far as i know) say it like it is, but i prefer works that make you pause and think. this one was one such example.

(Well, the first verse does anyway!) 😃
We should take our time to meander along life's paths, instead of thinking its a race we can win.
