A Hand Full of AshesA Poem by NevilleA Hand Full of Ashes Is this for real, I asked myself and in my sorrow, despaired both long and hard because
I knew it was .. Yet still, the gulls, gargoyles and most of the girls collectively despised
and
frowned down upon me .. So I bubble wrap my day and manufacture one of those false smiles,
that
you were most famous for .. But the wind got
there first
and blew them away .. Long before it caught like a fire, in the draught of my late
father’s house .. © 2024 NevilleFeatured Review
