Don't get me wrong, I'm a 100% tree hugger & if I won the lottery would buy my own rainforest & at least a couple of arboretums .. but we gotta get real .. 💚

   How would you defend against a nuclear strike?

   

We would plant more trees ..

   

So how would you prevent more cyber-attacks?

   We would be sure to plant more trees ..

Okay so what about natural disasters, like famine,

earthquakes, floods or maybe

another pandemic, world war three, or for example

   invasion from another galaxy?

   

Rest assured my friend, we would plant more trees ..

my only real concern is whether it is actually feasible to successfully parry an incoming nuclear missile with a sycamore sapling .. that's all .. well actually, it's not all actually ..

it is an interesting satire on a lot of things going on in the world. people are ill-equipped in facing the most daunting challenges humanity faces. 'planting more trees' could easily be replaced by another empty catch-phrase that politicians and pundits repeat ad nauseam. this idiocracy we live in where common sense is ditched in favour of some ideology or wishful thinking is not to last. i fear what's coming but i am also too tired to care any more.
