Inspired by memories of my parents old house & gardens overlooking the sea at Widemouth Bay, Cornwall, England & other equally beautiful loose associations 🤍

Trebrimar

 


Since there is now nothing


there except

 

  for the spectacular view ..


He placed


a rustic wooden bench


by the side


of the road to provide a


little comfort


and respite for the weary


feet of both

   

pilgrims and of travellers ..


And for


the ghosts of his parents


who used to


love watching the Kernow


choughs,


dolphins, surfers and gulls


in the bay


overlooked from their once


more than

   

beautiful of cliff top gardens ..

Neville

Kernow is the Cornish word for Cornwall. It derives from the Celtic word “kernou,” meaning “horn” or “headland.” Chough is a red legged coastal bird & member of the crow family once extinct in Kernow, but now gradually returning ..
