thirteen times the cuckoo called

   the first time heard since I got old ..

 maybe twas a warning ..

 

thirteen times that cuckoo called

    at just gone twelve, this Sunday morning ..

Is the cuckoo an omen of bad luck? This little poem is steeped in superstition, especially round the number thirteen. I would ask a question of you. Which direction was the cuckoo call coming from? Apparently it makes a difference. Good Monday morning Neville. Have a beautiful day.

Not sure, but the cuckoo is steeped in folk lore & has been associated with odd behaviour, mental disorder and death .. the cuckoo in question seemed to be coming from the pasture and hill behind my house, I heard it from my bedroom window while getting changed .. if you can enlighten me further I would be grateful .. cheers Chris,

Folk lore says, if the sound comes from the West, it foretells good luck, from the East , it provides consolation, a call from the north signifies sorrow and a call from the south means death. I guess you’ll need a compass

I prefer cuckoo clocks myself. I don’t think I have ever seen a cuckoo. I think they are elusive.

My pleasure and honor for looking after you, i just cant stay away from you, anything that becomes hindrance and words, really hurts me. Dont just let me stay starving for your call and touch, now I think i need you and family, not in money or career or business i have interest. You really made my thought process change regarding touch, i thought i should go with family approval process, and then get wedded, but maybe before wedding we can meet and talk too sometimes, i am strict discipliner, where i think of both families to be happy, if not i am also ready to move for him, i just needed little trust and need for me, thats all i wanted that kept you longing for me all these years, i know why he kept hiding his love now, if you havent i would have never, made you to get into mistakes. But till now you have been with many i didnt feel that you are doing wrong but this time with her my mind was not accepting somehow maybe because how she is doing things, or ... if you want i can say sorry to her, for not to hurt me, atleast you are happy for me and i think atleast we need to love each other, other wise my life is getting tough with you again some one.
