Two Feathers Proud

 

There are those who

say pride

comes before any fall ..

But having

struggled so long, just

to get off the ground ..

We are

standing firmly

together, at least two

feathers proud ..

And although not yet

flying ..

This is that moment,

just prior

to take off, when we

are both

smiling wildly and so

openly ..

Like lovers do, out loud ..

I have just been watching the swans in the marina. This uplifting poem speaks with a loud voice, not a whisper. Some things in life are worth the wait and fighting for. Some things you just know you don’t give up at the first hurdle. This poem covers a great deal of ground work before lift off. It covers love, passion, endurance, resilience, hope, friendship, humility, happiness , how’s that for a bloomin starters?
