Getting planetary with love! I remember the days when like was enough, but that got replaced by like a lot and then got planets and heavens involved. Where will it end? What's wrong with just saying "okay, I like you a lot of lots. Happy now?"
I know. Its such a surprise I didn't marry, isn't it? 😊

I quitely understand and appreciate the point you make here and so eloquently Loz .. indeed I too believe that we (meaning many of us homo-sapiens) .. it is still okay to use that term nowadays isn't it please .. use the term love far too frequently, invariably inappropriately and also indiscriminately .. also indeedly, I remember making the point while being miked up (that's just a saying and not a lewd act by the way) on stage in Manchester in front of three hundred psychiatrists, psychologits and senior approved social workers .. my point was that we are inadvertently chipping away and changing language that may one day prove to have dire results for our own species .. For example, can you imagine if some alien life force (and I don't mean a handful of French port blocking fishermen) overhear a young couple admiring the recent purchase of a new pair of Nike trainers (we call em Maratonki) in Bulgaia .. and one of em saying to the other hey I love your trainers man .. My betting is the aliens would think blimey these guys have a strong emotional attachment to each others footwear .. or summat .... Cheers mate I think ... Nevski :) x

Who would really be the aliens in that scenario? 😊

Comes across like an epigram, my favorite form. The bird imagery went well with the sense of surging emotion.

You are welcome my friend and have a safe and fun weekend.
To the moon and back, I have said it to children wrapped in my arms and meant it time and time again.
A simply stated poem with lovely visuals and a dynamite meaning.
If this was intended for a woman, she should be putty in your hands. Speaks eternal to me. Tell me if it works.
Beautiful poetry Neville.
