Just a Series of What ifs And a Maybe

 

What if a single, simple universal cure for cancer

could be found

via some complex mathematical equation ..

What if hunger,

pain, poverty and all diseases became things

of the past and

were reduced to nothing more, than a few

dark memories,

each one being consigned to history in a smiling,

bright new world ..

And what if climate change could be reversed

and there was

no more droughts, famine, wars or deaths

through self-harm or

murder and whale culls .. Maybe then, we could

all just give a little

something back, and begin to live in peace,

love and harmony ..

Yes, give peace a chance my friend and be sure

to share some

kindness, every once in a while, for a change ..

I think if we invested all those resources we have been investing in defense and warfare on peace and technological advancement for general and greater good then most of the beautiful possibilities considered in your piem would become reality. A poem that I enjoyed and prayed comes true!

That definitely would be a nice and welcomed change, especially the kindness portion of your poem. I think everything above that you mention and basically wish for can only be accomplish if everything is started with kindness. That is the key to peace. Nicely expressed my friend.

Though I don't like when other do this, maybe someday seek out my poem, "Hate will never pass the test" It is quite long and drawn out but you might like it or maybe not, but I think you would still be kind about it if you didn't. : )

Beautiful thoughts here Neville to hold on to when there is darkness. So much in the world to cause unhappiness. All these what ifs and if onlys what a difference they could make to the suffering of so many. So many who have nothing and lead lives in pain, poverty and sickness. So important to show kindness. A little kindness goes a long way. Each one of us can make a small difference to the overall huge picture on a daily basis. I had John Lennon singing along in my ear as I reread your words. As a lover of the sixties I can see a strong message in your poem. Loved its wisdom my friend. Have a wonderful weekend. 💜
