The Gardeness

The Gardeness

A Poem by Neville
"

She had passion & patience but he wanted so much more than that .. So he consigned her to poetry & that was that ..

"

The Gardeness

She has thyme well placed at her fingertips ..

Fresh from the garden and tenderly tended ..

Not architectural by design but wild and freely ..

Architecture, all drawings. designs and angles to the nth degree, yet you had a free spirit there Neville. Passion and patience and yet she has been consigned to poetry for all time. That’s three P,s. Maybe she is happier tending her herb garden now whether that be on the ground or in the pastures of the sky. Pray tell me, and that’s another p. What were the missing ingredients from this plot? Something wonderful about growing fresh herbs. Dried ones just don’t cut the mustard when it comes to cooking.

I do adore a woman, who loved her garden. Poetry is like a garden. We plant words and thoughts to be set free. Thank you Neville for sharing the amazing poetry.

thank you for such a kind comment Johnnie C .. Neville
I like this for the image it creates in my mind and how well I can relate to certain words and phrases. I am a little of both, a very avid gardener with a love for architecture. Many of my gardens are created in shapes and patterns, with arbors and fencing that create different spaces and feelings. And yes, I grow thyme and other assorted herbs. Really a cool little piece of writing
