Good one. I like trees. They are some of my favorite things in this world and the oldest living things on the planet. I'm particularly fond of Bristlecone Pines; those twisted and knurled ancients that survive millennia with their dignity intact. Trees make no sound but the wind through their branches often seems to sigh. On a scientific note, if a tree falls in the forest it still will not make a sound since "sound" is produced inside the ear from vibrations. I was taught that by my psychology professor in college a long, long time ago. But they certainly catalogue time and weather changes in their own diaries of rings. They're still remarkable things, those trees. I enjoyed your writing. F.

Ok! this is a GEM! and truth as I was reading it I felt I am a "Zen Tree". this one speaks of those who works in the shadow, gives without waiting for a reward, feel others and everything and break when someone breaks. maybe I am too far here but yeah... I read all of this through your Tree.
