It’s the knowing what once was

that really hurts the most, isn’t it darling ..

Spent beauty sucks don’t you think

 

No more long hair maybe

but not a single bald patch anywhere ..

Same old blue jeans though ..

dear Neville.... now at age 77... my husband Roger loves his Wrangler soft Blue Jeans and Wrangler Cowboy Shirts with Pearl Snap Buttons and a pocket on each side. He also wears Cowboy Boots and his blond graying Hair is longer than a Moon beam... So even though He takes Dialysis for four years now... He is quite the Stylish Wild West Star... Yes, Roger is a Veteran... and has survived PTSD and is doing well as can be expected. He is well educated with a sense of Humor... and very Kind to everyone.
I met him in 1987 at a Country Western Dance. When I asked him to dance, He replied... "Not unless they Play, "Because of you, god made Oklahoma"... So I had to ask the Band to Play that Song. tenderly, Pat

My older brother was a big fan, and often played his music. What a voice! I remember "Play Me", and "I Think It's Going To Rain Today". I often have "Alexa" play them for me. Beautiful lyrics!

This is so great! Something about this feels so personal and direct, friendly in a way. It feels like a moment frozen in time, a thought or a memory that sticks out from the others. The flow is so smooth and never once feels confusing and off track, which I find hard to do. Also a very nostalgic feeling piece, of course.
