dear Neville.... now at age 77... my husband Roger loves his Wrangler soft Blue Jeans and Wrangler Cowboy Shirts with Pearl Snap Buttons and a pocket on each side. He also wears Cowboy Boots and his blond graying Hair is longer than a Moon beam... So even though He takes Dialysis for four years now... He is quite the Stylish Wild West Star... "Forever in Blue Jeans"... Thanks for posting a Poem with Worn Memories. gently, Pat

You learn to love who you are as you get older and the superficial things matter less.
The old blue jeans, they feel like home, no matter their weather.

Some things change, some don't. Hair is notoriously undependable, but a good pair of jeans will see you through every time. Of course, a lot depends on the waistline, another undependable thing.

Yes Neville! I wish I had mine back too- but wouldn't fit so there's that:)) I think of Janis Joplin and "Bobby McGee". Those were the days my friend-wait-isn't that a song too? Lovely, evocative, deftly succinct and musical. Love this!

You are really a songwriter Neville. And I think this falls into that catagory. But a song with so many layers and layers of relationship wisdom at that.

.. How cool is that eh' .. we call that a win win over here .. thank you K :)
This is so great! Something about this feels so personal and direct, friendly in a way. It feels like a moment frozen in time, a thought or a memory that sticks out from the others. The flow is so smooth and never once feels confusing and off track, which I find hard to do. Also a very nostalgic feeling piece, of course. I’m a sucker for nostalgia sometimes and so I love a good poem abo it. Thank you so much for sharing. (:
