Checking the Night Sky

 

Quite unlike any other

man made

or farm furrowed field ..

Her brow,

ridged deep and set

like some

rare stone silvered ..

Yet held

more firmly and high

above those

matched arches proud ..

Indeed,

each orb a special blue ..

Perfectly

aligned and celebrated

in night skies,

around the globe, just like

I am doing now

but throughout all of history ..

Yes, she is the great watcher in the sky, Mother Nature take shape n form in many guises and so high above provides ample viewing as like ants, we scurry around on top of this beautiful, blue planet ..

Always people have looked to the night sky in awe of its beauty and wondering if the stars have something to tell us. We have done it since before Stonehenge and will probably be doing it a millennium hence, provided we are still here.

Where I live it's getting harder to see those orbs. Each word in this poem flows into the next so easily, like they were made to be together. Great poem, Neville.
