What an incredibly beautiful poem. I had really strong visuals of a church or cathedral positioned in the heights of mountains. Now in disrepair, but with memories of its former glory. The spark of the congregation filling the now ruined remains. The stained glass shattered and left as a reminder of better times. Something with that sort of beauty would be difficult to replaced and I sensed loss here.

Beauty retains its allure under all the dust...Trapped, shrouded or buried in a deep crevice, the human soul never misses it, even in passing. It always registers and sometimes more so in retrospect. Loved where you took me with your words sir!

and how very kind of you to let me know you have visited my friend ...
I get the feeling of a beloved building, maybe a church, that no longer stands. Perhaps a victim of development. If so, it's a sad testimony to "progress."

Such enormous emphasis on fragility of reminiscence through "powers of observation" lyric from Nobody home by Pink Floyd. But felt something ancient maybe a monastery holding itself up on
"Where stained glass
stands as a sharp testimony
to the new dust that now surrounds it." Asking the present appearance of things nothing but your forgiveness for the tragedy that has followed. Yet all the speaker can say is " Beautiful" whenever words attempted to express it. Resting comfortable in silence discovering heirloom that touches the heart in deepen nostalgic ways beyond understanding. I got a lot of thoughts read it over and over again. Thanks for the feelings while reading beautiful work. Sincerely your friend in writing and life :)

We often start noticing the beauty and importance of things when we look back at them, reminiscing. This is what is happening to us in the present times when we are looking at the "once found and now lost" things, our freedom, social life, everything. I hope this time passes soon and we start valuing things as and when they are present.

There's a lot to see in these words a lot to think. I enjoyed this read. This line really spoke to me and that it was so well put.

Your artful words remind me of how we might've thought, when in the middle of a situation, how yukky it felt, but then years later when we look back at that time, there are such marvels & delights to be found under new dust. Your title is rip-roaring, making a click irresistible! (((YES!))) Fondly, Margie

Stands sharp as a testimony... Powerful imagery here, deep and intriguing thoughts as I see it.
From a new cut there lays the new dust, Very powerful and quite intriguing,
