Although preoccupied

declines to pause or hesitate

 

Yet seals

Superb and profound Neville. I like the way you have staggered each thought. Works well. Yes, we are shackled to time -the great deceiver! Our common fate.
I feel winter coming on - usually it offers its own delights but we're all bit nervous.

I love your rhyme & rhythm here, but I would delete "both" from the penultimate line (picky! picky!) It is my humble opinion (in agreement with your message) that HOPE is one of those fundamental necessities for staying sane thru life. I love the line about time being preoccupied -- very clever!
