Only smoked as an experiment at 16. Soon gave it up, but I have seen how others crave to have a fix at certain times. After meals, after fusion (that lesson in physics you were writing about :) Your title reminds me of eating a bar of chocolate.

Only 35 syllables but so much imagination and space for the reader to add whatever. I’ve never smoked a cigarette but I’ll admit to bourbon, which also brings good sleep. Good piece, Neville.

I don’t think this is about smoking at all, haha. It’s sort of like haiku erotica, or the way a parent who doesn’t want to explain the birds and the bees might work it out when the boy keeps asking questions. It’s a clever poem, and I love how it leaves so much to the imagination.
And the discussion about smoking is great. I used to love the way a good puff would go down after too, too many drinks. But many a moon ago I left both behind. It seems a bit like a rite of passage. Cool poem, Neville.

Tried for several summers to hack it (cigs), but couldn't. Always a stoner at heart, but the exact same principle applies, as far as craving a toke after the splash. Love your little dabbles that evoke a river of ink in our ruminations (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

well there ya go see... we are identical opposites... lol.....
i would like to see them light up after coming to terms of equality...the climax of tensions erased...that would induce the most pleasure....thank you for letting me go there with this piece...
my thoughts are trapped in a dark room these days.
