True Colours

True Colours

A Poem by Neville

True Colours

Hey Blue

You tried so hard

To hide them

But in the end tho

Your colours

Just bled through

Hey Babe

I notice you’re not

Turquoise any more

How can I not see/say it? TURQUOISE & OTHER SHADES OF BLUE -- Nev's book, a worthy accompaniment to leisure! *wink! wink!* Now for this poem specifically -- in the USA, people so belligerently blast their "colors", there's no guesswork, so the phrase "true colors" may be obsolete here now *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

How very kind of you my friend... and appreciated no end...
We rarely see the true colors of another. Your poetry was sweet, honest and true. When we love the hidden ugly face of another. This is love. Thank you Neville for sharing the excellent poetry.

I enjoyed this poem my friend and you are welcome.
No matter what we paint ourselves to be, mediums fade and yellow over time, and sometimes the colors we once thought were sweet don't tend to age well... Shades apart, we may be the same deep down, but will never stop changing. Growth starts somewhere and we are all a spectrum of constant metamorphosis.

Beautifully written! Simple but truthful.

no matter what colors we try to represent, what feels on the inside dyes to get out of us and give our moods away.
