"in sickness and health, in life and death" these words came to my mind as I read Your breathtaking ones, imagining two graves of two lovers, together shared life, now together sharing death as life wafts over them. this one is outstanding dear Neville. touched me tenderly, deep and true.

The rosemary twig put such an apt touch to these tender words of tribute to much missed parents - -- as symbol of universal remembrance the rosemary shows their love and care will not be forgotten - - a most moving read dear Neville with a beautiful final line.

I just jotted down your words Robert.. they made me smile no end, so they did.. and for that.. and for being such a mate, I can not thank you enough
The sprig of rosemary is quite diverse and made this all the more beautiful for me. My sister in law lost her husband last June and wears his thumbprint on a medallion around her neck, which was a momentum offered by the funeral home. I've missed reading you and basking in the eloquence of your words, Nev!

I needed to get them out of my head and I am honoured by the attention and generosity folk have shown to both me and them.... I am sorry for your sister in laws recent loss... I have heard of and written previously about a friend who wears her husbands fingerprint cast in silver... I shall have to find it and make it more prominent …. I truly do appreciate you visiting and only hope you can start doing so more often.... AGT's,
Such a melancholy write. Two people united in life and now in death. Flowers on the grave.....so sad, Neville, but such vivid imagery. Lydi**

A very evocative image you've given us Neville but full of mystery. Laid to rest entwined on a beach is not everyday. Is the Rosemary a clue? We are left to wonder but that's poetry for you! Well done with this.

Regardless of religious beliefs these times should be marked as significant for those left. I put some of my dad's ashes on top of a significant hill and plan to have some of mine added as fertilizer.
Not for a while.
Cheers.

This one reminds me somewhat of the inscriptions that can still be seen on Victorian era gravestones. It is brief but contains deep feeling. I get the feeling it might be based on a tragic story.

Rest in peace and love...the best of endings and new beginnings. Neville, I heard your heart speak in this deeply moving piece. We bless the ones we love, honor their wishes, and bid them well on their journey. Your resonant words, with graceful sea images and scent of spray and rosemary, linger on. I reread. “Together”- always. Yes.
Neville, any of us would be honored to have such words written after we pass, and what a blessed inscription this poem would make on a gravestone. A touching and most poetic tribute to two blessed loved ones.
