still a beautiful place...but something is missing....the significant other who made all of those cobbled streets and perfect harbours really kiss the senses...
and i really like the metaphor of the harbours kissing like lovers.
so close, and yet so far.
really like this one Neville....so good to read you again.

Wow this is beautiful, almost like watching an old VHS tape of a stranger's holiday. Speaking of holidays - I love the usage of "holidayed" as a verb. It reminds me of Sylvia Plath with her "purpled" and "blued" and "browned". Keep it up!

Your writing never fails. You have a way of sharing emotions about places that hold precious memories which alters the shape of their shadows. It's the feeling that when you turn a corner from >> towards - someone or something might appear but..
Been a while since i wandered Valletta; photos remind me of busy, colourful days almost twenty years ago!

Ah, a poem about the Maltese archipelago...such a beautiful place, but without the one you love to share it, something is missing. Seven creeks and Valetta harbor....the waterways reach out to one another like lovers....great concept. Lydi**

'Two Harbours''
Neville,
Your poem really speaks! It touches the reality of inner wondering; for the memory and the gladness, and the hope and the promise. All of these are so much a part of what we all need and desire within ourselves but empty If not shared. How beautifully shared from that inner core of heart. Greatly written from your own life.
Blessings,
Kathy
I am delighted with your comments here dear Kathy.. am smiling from ear to almost there.... :)

Those distance love affair. Seem like wishes and myth in old age. In my youth, tried to love woman separate by the sea. Thank you Neville for sharing the amazing poetry.
