The present can gift us roses with thorns but it has to be lived. It can also give us a touch of heaven. All of it has to be lived regardless. Make the most of the good times and deal with the crap knowing that too will pass. That's where you took me Neville.

thank you for checking these words over Chris, much appreciated.. Neville
The present is never ending. There seems to be no respite! I'm afraid its going to stay forever, with onslaught after onslaught of miseries. How true dear sir! I see the present as gloomy and eternal.

Just re-read what I wrote 11 months ago. Wouldn't change a word, except to emphasise how important the present is. Live each and every minute to the full.

Wide awake and rarin to go back to bed, so I am sir... no time for napping its unconscious or nuffin... Cheers Gene and a happy healthy Sunday to you n yours :)))))
The word that intrigues me the most = the last word. In a way, it feels like you suggest that people seek respite in escaping into either the past or the present. I love it when a writer picks the perfect word that pops with a tons of side roads to be meandered (((STROLL))) Fondly, Margie
Wise words sir. The trouble with it all is, once you're here, there's nowhere else to go.
I think I'll put on my rose-tinteds and pretend I'm somewhere else for a while. (Ah, when organic milk was known as... Milk. When curly wurlies were the size of ladders and wagon wheels were the size of your face.)
Nope. Still here 😀

would you believe I remember all those things too and truly :)
You're right, Neville.
The present always move along side us. It never a time left behind and never a time meant to be. It is always now.
Only that it makes the past a past and makes the future a future.
