You are right Neville,
Memories fade with time,
in accordance to their relevance.
Stronger ones struggle to stay,
kicking the old trash all away,
rumble in the head stash,
memories fighting for survival,
Stronger ones live,
weaker ones die.
This happens everyone,
Thank you for waking my spirit up.
Your poem brings to mind how a young friend gave me a little word slap becuz I did not mention his 33rd b-day this week. I long-ago crossed b-days off my list as some of the useless crap I do not have the capacity to remember! *smile* Fondly, Margie

I’m constantly discovering things I have forgotten. Terrible thing is I have sense that my memory is clear. I suppose it’s the forgetfulness that allows me to feel that way.
My kids keep me in check, though. They tell me vivid stories of their own memories and I realize I do not remember those moments.
It’s funny what we hang on to. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the maze of memory. But it’s lovely to have the ability to relive things through it, and also to rediscover forgotten experience with the help of others who were there with you. As the years go by, I require more and more of that assistance. Yes.
A thoughtful little musing here, Neville. Something I well understand.

Safe in the memory bank or in our writing, or in old photographs, that's where we go to bring them back to life. Happy Sunday Neville.

Those that we hold safe in our memories... now and then taken out just to wrap our heart to remind us how precious some moments are and will be forever.

I remember now. That's where I put them. Oh! I've forgotten the password. Was it the brain melt chronicles or fluffy pixie 26?
Nurse! What the hells my name? No! Not the restraints again. Please!

Like a Castaway... we have stashed away our dreams for coming true...
and then right out of the blue... I knew without a doubt that memories
will appear in formations of unrequited love... on the wings of a dove...
truly, Pat
Stashed in love's folder those mem'ries will stay - -- and consigned to a hard drive will never escape....... .... I like the slow flow of this 5-7-5 Nev.
