This is quite exquisite Neville. I like it almost as much as Bride of the Hedgerows. You do nature very well. Erigeron is part of the daisy family and does well in mountainous areas. You mention stone walls, cracks in cobble walks, garden paths. Maybe you are thinking of Bulgaria here although this tiny flower grows elsewhere. Nature certainly has healing powers and such a beautiful sight is enough to put a smile on a sad face. I can imagine those tiny flowers dancing and waving at you with their smiley faces. Fabulous imagery here.

I am giving this poem an airing because it deserves to be read again and because it is one of my favourites. Everything I said about it before still applies but reading it again reminds me just how lovely that little flower is.

When a daisy pops up between cracks in the pavement, it is proof to me there is beauty everywhere and beauty will persevere. So beautifully written. Erigeron could have been a lover you were so emotional about her! LydI**
