She is by no means

As pure or perfect

As she would have

You think

Although for some

She purrs and weaves

Between their feet

She claims she has

Everything except

The kitchen sink tho

Driven snow is whiter

And more pristine

I think

 

She is so very needy

Collecting poets for

A hobby

That is just the way it is

That is how

She gets her kicks

Dont tell me

You hadn’t got a clue

Are you really

Unimpressed I thought

By now you may

Have guessed

It’s not a bloody science

Is it after all….

Now that has got to be one unusual hobby Neville. I collected foreign stamps as a child of nine, still have my album somewhere. I also have collected some pieces of porcelain that I have treasured over the years, but collecting poets? How do you do that? Do you put them on show in a display cabinet? Of course you may do if you are referring to books, and books aren't a science. They are literature of course. This is deep. Deeper than the ocean but it still brought a smile to my face. Good morning.

Sounds like the fickle muse to me. She loves a guy (or girl!) when she loves him, but there's always another one desperate to get a hold of her. I do really love the way you mix an astute sense of observation with a lovely cheekiness, Neville. Makes your poetry very enjoyable in my book.

But you have no right to call me a poet You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do that, but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what a poet is. A poet! A poet has a face, and you must make a friend of poetry. Poetry and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies.
