It would be so

Very easy to

Just let go and fall

In love with her

 

It would be

Far harder to refrain

Come tell me what

You know my darling

 

Of all those things

We do call

Love and pain

My world is full of them

 

How very cat like

Of you Kitten

Come teach me of poverty

And hard times romantic

This is quite lovely and I read it several times. Could be interpreted on several different levels, but I didn't see a cat in sight, only terms of endearment. Silence is not a good communicator although silence is certainly golden at the right moments and used effectively.
I like my interpretation very much.
