no kidding, exploding flowers provided the inspiration for this post.. they are known by the old folk as devet bez petnaiset or nine minus fifteen minutes.. coz that's how long each bloom lasts .....
Kitten & Mindya are both beautiful rural villages near my own village.. we have these flowers growing wild in my garden there... beautiful or hobova as we say....

You have certainly given me hobova imagery. Not just one exploding sun yellow flower, you have given me many, many flowers. You have given me fields of them and I thank you for that Neville and for sharing Bulgaria with us. Nine minus fifteen, they don't last long and neither do we. I am starting to think of Shakespeare and his gather ye roses while ye may. I wonder what an exploding flower sounds like, or indeed what many exploding flowers sound like. I am left pondering.

This is certainly hobova my friend. Being in Europe right now, I am so enjoying the blooming of all the trees and flowers. This may be one of my favorite pieces of yours, it has just about everything and talks to my heart and my eye. Great work.

Those flowers read magical: a sort of 'now you hear them, now you don't'. And their name is.. ? If you know the Latin botanical I just might know them, please. Nigella seeds are a touch similar, blessing the patient observer with a wish for more and more.. and more!
Flowers give more than shape and colour: they're mysterious and/or joyful, can be delicate or strong, are either shy wee bodies or show.offs, or dozens of extraordinary entities with characteristics by the score. Magical entities that humankind could never reproduce. Look at the mechanics of a fuchsia - a Ferra-- designer could never equal it! (Oops gone on too much as ever. Forgive please.)
Apart from laying your words so simply yet, oddly intricately, you so love your plants. Thank you.

Thanks Gene, bloomin kind of you to say that and much appreciated, I can tell ya.... N :))
I love the way you present this as a dynamic exchange which seemingly reveals your true intent . . . to let us all know about uncommon flowers in this area of Bulgaria. Beats the heck out of the travelog approach to describing different locations! *wink! wink!* You always pick an uncommon path to share a rare tidbit (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I'm all ears about any of your nomadic observations . . .
Wow, I'd like to see those flowers! The ones we have around here stand perfectly still. (Except for when the wind blows.) I thought you might have been joking at first, and thought about Monty Python's exploding housewives. (Sorry)
