This is one of the most brilliant things you've ever written that I've read. Usually I do not like short poems becuz I WANT MORE! To me, a short poem is successful when it conjures up a vivid extended series of visions in the reader's mind (in effect, GROWING the little poem into big ideas). That's exactly what this poem does. So many avenues to ponder, after you've set up this brief painting analogy (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

and just for that.... I'm gonna thank you again .... thank you again Annette N :) x
This seems more literal than metaphorical, but I know it could be either or both. It is known that some artists become so involved in a painting that reality blurs. Perhaps, in this case, one-half of a relationship is waiting for the other to drop their facade.

Many thanks indeed Samuel my friend... Neville

Her canvas is filled with warm and tender imprints of your lips...
with your writings, you start a chain of thoughts
that will paint pictures of never ending reflections.

Few but enigmatic words. Could be empathic, could be passionate.. could be both? You seem to be setting riddles these days - not that there's anything wrong in that. Think I might think about this poem, wonder at the thoughts behind it!

ooooo lots of pictures crossed my mind reading this.
love the mixed metaphor of the oil painting, the kiss, the canvas which could be full of tears...or perspiration...sensuality jumps out from the frame of this.
