It may be your last poem for a while, but what a poem to finish on. I have loved the stars with fondness, a line from one of my own poems. Through the skylight I have the heavens at my disposal. I often look at the constellations in the middle of the night when I can't sleep and imagine other people in other parts of the world, doing the same.I think that is a rather lovely thought, that others are viewing what I am seeing. It sort of brings you closer to people don't you think? You have given me a star spangled night to dwell upon. I thank you for that Neville.

and that of course.. is my pleasure & true ..... N :)
Skylight. I have one and do star gaze frequently. Right at this moment, there isn't a star in sight, just total darkness. This is another lovely poem which could benefit from an airing. Just as good to read on a second visit.

how ever so bloomin kind... thank you my very dear friend :)
' One wonders what.. .. '
There are times when half darkness is a door ajar, allowing both escape or haven. Or that reflection can be a problem trying to resolve itself: a quiet thought, decision time, lines on the brow, smiles tickling the almost but - not quite. Could be the clouds flitting across the moon, could be the stars winking, laughing at their own jokes! You write such enigmatic words at times, or is it that I bewilder too easily these days!

I sleep in a Chapel far up in the sky... I am blessed with contentment... perchance should I fall into a dream I may recall. May your journey be worth all the Stars between. truly, Pat

I was gone too, so I'm just getting around to reading this, as you are making your return around here. No worries about catching up with me. (You are always caught up with me). This poem reminds me of before my neck surgery (2013), a dark stretch of life, when I moved here I set up my bed in the middle of the living room so I could see outside to the wilderness thru wall-to-wall windows. My bed also happens to be about two meters from the woodstove, as well. To me, this arrangement is my "skylight" of which you write, bringing me joy even when I am physically unable to get outdoors to enjoy it all! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Falling asleep in the garden! Now there's a poem in the making!
i like this..i think cob webs have their own beauty...makes me think of walking through a very old house where nobody lives anymore....just imagining the life that used to be here.
and then looking in the mirror and remember the life i used to have, the one from a long time ago that got me to this window, looking out at what future is in store...and how many years that might be.

Looking through the skylight into the night sky.....the stars twinkling through the glass. Who is on the other side of the glass? We are left to wonder. Whatever sky you gaze at, may it bring such amazing poetry to us. Lydi**
